Beat up on the Jelly
I woke up feeling kind of down today. Not really depressed, just a bit down. Coffee didn't help. Neither did Tai Chi. Mainly because I have no frikkin' clue how to do Tai Chi. Kind of like this poser.

Kind of strange that I was down this morning since just yesterday I was jumping up and down and screaming as Italy won the World Cup.
Speaking of which, here's a pic my cousins sent me from last night in Lucera, Italy.

Maybe I was down because I was at home fiddling about while they were parading around town with a coffin representing the entire country of France. As a Philly sports fan whose heart gets torn to shreads a couple times each year, I know all too well that you get precious few opportunities in life to parade around with the coffin of your vanquished foes. I guess I could have made my own France coffin, but I'm not sure my cat would have appreciated it as much as thousands of screaming Italians.
Regardless, it's hard to work on a book that's supposed to be funny when you're feeling blue. At times like this, only a few certain things can help get me back in the mood for writing comedy.
